DESCRIPTION:Washington D.C.\nThe annual Blossom Kite Festival is open to al
 l kite flyers. Please join us if you would like to fly a kite in solidarit
 y with Palestine. Anyone is welcome to gather in public space to honor the
  children in Gaza and celebrate Palestinian resilience and hope.\n\nWe are
  a small group of local moms hoping to gather with others in solidarity.\n
 This event is open to all!\n\nIn addition to kite flying\, we will have so
 me additional activities for children of all ages.\n\nPlease know the RAIN
  DATE for Blossom Kite Festival is March 31\, 2024.\n\n Significance of Ki
 te Flying for Palestine:\nKite flying in Palestine is seen as a symbol of 
 hope and a longing for freedom. The most kites flown simultaneously is 12\
 ,350 and was achieved by children of the Gaza Strip at an event organized 
 by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency at Al-Waha beach\, Gaza Stri
