Sassool Cafe is a family owned Mediterranean Cafe with three locations throughout the Triangle.
In April 2019, Owner Mounir Saleh and his daughters Simone and Noelle, returned to Lebanon for a two-week food tour with “Taste of Beirut” Cookbook Author and Blogger, Joumana Accad.
During our stay in Lebanon we were able to dive into different new and traditional Lebanese flavors. We visited many different cities and villages throughout Lebanon. We also attended cooking classes with legendary home chefs, and truly reconnected with our roots.
Our favorite meal of the day however was always breakfast!
The Lebanese breakfast experience typically takes up to two hours, with Arabic coffee, fresh juice, raw vegetables and fruits, decadent cheeses and yogurt, manaesh in many flavors, and delicious eggs. We would start our day slowly, with delicious food and coffee, and conversation with loved ones.
Now that we have returned to home and work, we want to share the Lebanese Breakfast Experience with you! It is truly unlike any breakfast you have every had!
Thursday July 18th from 6pm-8pm at Sassool Cary (1347 Kildaire Farm Rd.)
Arabic Coffee – Caffienated or Decaf
Selections of Fresh Juices
Manaesh Flatbreads in a variety of flavors (zaatar spice, meat, cheese.)
Labneh yogurt with Olive oil
Grilled Halloumi and Lebanese Cheeses
Raw Veggies (cucumber, tomato, radish, mint) and Olives
Fool Muddamas (hot fava beans)
Hummus topped with Toasted Walnuts
Fresh Fruit (pineapple, melon, grapes and strawberries)
We will also be having attendees sample a NEW MENU ITEM inspired by our trip to Lebanon. You must attend this event for this exclusive sneak peak!
