It’s on Water St between Anchorage Place and Adams St. G iven construction in the adjacent plaza\, the best way to arrive is from A dams Street. You can use "28 Adams Street" for the purposes of mapping.\n\ n---------------------------------------------------------\n\nTHE MUSIC!\n \nBASSEL &\; THE SUPERNATURALS. Bassel &\; The Supernaturals tells t he story of Bassel Almadani's experience as a first generation Syrian-Amer ican using soulful melodies\, funk inspired grooves\, and captivating lyri cs regarding love\, loss\, and the war in Syria. Deeply inspired by Otis R edding\, Bassel uses the stage as a vehicle to engage audiences in over 10 0 different cities across North America. In addition to performing in majo r festivals\, performance halls\, concert series\, and clubs\, the group w orks closely with organizations on events and residencies that build aware ness and empathy for Syrian refugees. A substantial portion of their proce eds benefit the Karam Foundation\, a 501(c)3 organization focused on build ing a better future for Syria. The group has performed on stages including SXSW\, the John F. Kennedy Center\, Summerfest\, and Millennium Park\, an d supporting internationally touring artists such as Youssou N'Dour\, Brot her Ali\, Aesop Rock\, Emancipator\, The Dandy Warhols\, Sinkane\, and man y others.\n\n---------------------------------------------------------\n\n THE ART!\n\nSAMAYA GLAZIER. Samaya Glazier is a young passionate artist ba sed in Brooklyn\, New York. In elementary school\, her work was the only o ne of her school to be chosen to be entered into a city-wide contest hoste d by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. As Samaya and her work has matured\ , she tends to gravitate toward portraits of people and animals. While she has an uncanny ability to copy works of the masters by sight\, she loves to create her own art which is expressive with color. Her favorite mediums are watercolor and acrylic as well as multimedia projects. Samaya is a br ain tumor survivor and after almost losing her sight because of that\, she is now in full recovery and has regained 100% of her sight. In 2021 and 2 022\, her work was admitted into the Raymond Wood Art Contest for Brain tu mor survivors. She won in her category both years running and was able to put the money awarded in her college fund.
