SUMMARY:Living Memory and Documentation: Panel at the Gaza Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Queens\, NY\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nJoin us for a panel discussion ar
ound collective memory and documenting two and a half years of US-backed I
sraeli genocide in Gaza.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf I must die\, you must live to t
ell my story - Refaat Alareer (1979-2023)\n\nJoin a group of Palestinian
scholars and organizers for a discussion on collective memory in the face
of colonial violence and erasure.\n\nAbout the Exhibit\n\nThis event is a
part of our first ever exhibition of Architecture of Genocide\, a 3D mapp
ing Gaza's infrastructure before and after two and a half years of destruc
tion — on display April 3rd–5th.\n\nThrough detailed maps\, the exhib
it traces how Israel has systematically targeted every aspect of life that
is critical to our people's survival. All hospitals\, schools\, power pla
nts\, water wells\, agricultural land and civil infrastructure destroyed w
ith the intention to make Gaza uninhabitable. The Gaza maps serve as a too
l to document this destruction. But it also tells another story: of a peop
 le who\, despite a 17-year siege\, built homes\, communities\, and critica
l infrastructure in order to remain on their land.\n\n\n
