 sic. Emel’s voice became iconic during the Arab Spring\, when her song K
 elmti Horra (“My Word Is Free”) echoed through the streets of Tunis an
 d beyond\, becoming a revolutionary anthem. Blending classical Arabic soun
 ds with electronica\, rock\, and experimental textures\, her work has been
  hailed for its emotional power\, political depth\, and sonic innovation. 
 Her latest album\, MRA\, is a bold celebration of female creativity\, made
  entirely in collaboration with women.\n\nThe evening will close with a sh
 ort\, intimate performance by Emel.\n\nMajlis NY is a gathering space for 
 artists\, thinkers\, and community rooted in the Arab world and its diaspo
 ra. Through intimate talks\, performances\, and collective reflection\, Ma
 jlis centers culture as a living\, breathing force of resistance\, memory\
 , and imagination.\n\nTickets are sold on a sliding scale: we want this sp
