About this Event
Author of Day of Honey: A Memoir of Food, Love, and War, a mixture of memoir and reportage about daily civilian life and their struggle over food during wartime in Beirut and Baghdad. Day of Honey won the American Book Award and the James Beard Foundation Awards (finalist, Writing and Literature.)
Author of the popular cookbook, The Palestinian Table, winner of the 2018 Guild of Food Writers First Book Award and nominated for 2018 James Beard Foundation Cookbook Award.
Co-author of the acclaimed cookbook, The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey, named the “Best Arab Cuisine Book” by Gourmand Magazine and author of Gaza Mom: Palestine, Politics, Parenting, and Everything In Between.
