SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

MERCURY CAFÉ’S MONTHLY COMMUNITY NIGHT

Who:
• Dr. Andrej Grubacic, Professor of Anthropology and Social Change, CIIS
• Deellan Kashani, Member of the California Kurdish Community Center
• Brace Belden, Local Activist
• Jazz by the Jazz Beaus with Tom Donald

What: The Tree of Life: An Evening in Support of the Kurdish People

When: Friday, December 6, 6:30 to 10:00 p.m.

Where: Mercury Café, 201 Octavia Street, San Francisco

Why: Because we support one another, near and far. And because we care. And because in a very meaningful way, we are there and they are here with us as well. Which is why the café will be serving up homemade organic Kurdish hot-and-spicy red lentil soup with pita bread (for $5, merely), and offering Happy Hour prices on beer and wine. Be there, or be wherever you are. We’ll be with you there, too.

Donations at the door to benefit the Kurdish Red Crescent
The Kurdish Red Crescent is the primary provider of medical care and aid for refugees who have fled from attacks by ISIL and the Syrian government.
