Topics include but are not limited to;
*beautiful arms and hands
*families of steps
*understanding the music
*finger cymbal skills
*the 14 rhythms every dancer should know
*stylistic changes for different rhythms and cultures
*6 full body undulations clearly broken down
*how to do a zill solo
*how to chart a song
*dancing to the melody/the time signature and/or the rhythm
and much, MUCH MORE.
Each class will include a warm up, a cool down, the lesson topic and some drilling of that subject, at least one song of freestyle dancing for you to follow me (or do your own thing) and an optional after class virtual happy half hour. Classes also include notes related to the topic and references to all music used with information on how to purchase this music from the vendors.
Dancers of all levels will find valuable tools to grow and advance their art and their teaching from these classes.
Each student will receive a recording of the class the day or evening after class. Students may keep each recording for a week and watch it as often as they like during that week. Recordings are not downloadable. At some future date, edited versions of these recordings will be available to rent or download.
