About Moroccan Children’s Trust and Centre Amane:
Our website: www.moroccanchildrenstrust.org
2020 marks the 10-year anniversary of our Centre Amane Community Centre in Taroudant, Morocco.
Now more than ever, vulnerable children need centre services as COVID-19 presents unprecedented challenges to children’s access to education, health, and social support.
In celebration of our 10-year anniversary, we invite you to our fundraising gala event so that we may continue our work and impact for the lives of vulnerable children now, and years to come.
Along with our in-country partner, Fondation Amane Pour La Protection de L’Enfance (FAPE), our centre provides essential social work to disadvantaged, street-connected children and their families in the form of: holistic social work, foster care, school support, health follow-ups, women’s support groups, national birth registration, and more . Our mission : to safeguard children’s rights via gatekeeping practices to encourage deinstitutionalization so that every child can grow and thrive in a loving, safe, home.
Centre Amane’s response has been a leading force in ensuring child protection through the delivery of holistic social services. In the past 10 years, we have provided:
- 220 Families with access to health, education, and social support
- 40+ At-risk children each year with individualized care plans
- 325+ Official ID papers to children, providing them access to essential social services such as health and public school
- 54 COVID-19 Emergency Food and Supply Packages to vulnerable children and families
