It combines the rich sounds of Middle Eastern music with a modern flair\, thanks to the skilled composer Maile Pacumio. This piece captures the essence of music that comes from deep inside\, co nnecting the past and present in a unique way.\n\n \;\n\nThe second sp ecial premiere is by Joseph Alvarez\, a composer and pianist from Los Ange les. Joseph studied music composition at UC Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing his Master's degree at Cal State Long Beach. His piece\, "Prelud e and Dance\," consists of two parts.
