SUMMARY:NO OTHER LAND: Free Community Film
DESCRIPTION:HOPKINS\, MN\n\nNO OTHER LAND: Free Community Film Screening\n
\nDirected by a collective of Palestinian and Israeli activists—Basel Ad
 ra\, Hamdan Ballal\, Yuval Abraham\, and Rachel Szor—No Other Land is b
oth a deeply personal chronicle and an urgent call to action. The film fol
lows Basel\, a young Palestinian activist documenting the destruction of h
is homeland in Masafer Yatta\, a West Bank region facing forced displaceme
nt by Israeli military forces. Through his lens\, we witness the relentles
s demolition of homes and the struggle of families fighting to remain on t
heir land. Amidst the devastation\, Basel forms an unexpected friendship w
ith Yuval\, an Israeli journalist who seeks to amplify his story. But as t
heir bond deepens\, the stark realities of their lived experiences challen
ge the limits of solidarity.\n\nHailed as “a devastating portrait” (Th
e Hollywood Reporter) and “a vital\, powerful\, and damning document of
resistance” (IndieWire)\, No Other Landhas been met with universal crit
ical acclaim\, holding a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Its raw\, unflinch
ing storytelling cements it as one of the most important documentaries of
the year. (2024\, 96 min.)\n\nWinner of the Panorama Audience Award for Be
st Documentary and the Berlinale Documentary Film Award at the 2024 Berlin
International Film Festival\, this searing portrait of resistance has als
o won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature at the 97th Academy Awards.\n
\nThis event is free and open to the public. Capacity is limited to 150 gu
 ests.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nABOUT THE EVENT SERIES:\n\nThis Summer\, in collaborat
