Online Event

Are you ready to reimagine the future? Can art inspire us to reconnect with the natural world?

About this Event

Award-winning art/science curator, Laura Knott, will introduce us to internationally acclaimed women environmental artists Pia Lindman, Rikke Luther, and Nancy Valladares.

  • Finnish artist Pia Lindman‘s surprising challenges to our senses and ideas of reality are displayed in her evocative environmental projects.
  • Rikke Luther illuminates the intricacies of the collapse of modern progress in her monumental artwork.
  • Panelist Nancy Valladares will reveal a little-known botanical connection between Honduras and Palestine.

In addition, Silvia Barisione, Chief Curator at the Wolfsonian-FIU, will discuss Ultimo by visionary pioneers John and Ruth Vassos. Vassos’ surreal art deco illustrations depict a new world where humanity is enslaved by technology in order to survive the climatologically catastrophic future.

Admission to this event is FREE and open to the public, however we do suggest a $15 donation, or more if you are able. Your support is essential to make these workshops possible and accessible.
