SUMMARY:Painting Workshop: Palestinian Memory & Ritual Through Still Life
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJoin us for a hands-on painting workshop exploring Palest
 ine\, memory\, identity\, and diaspora through still life.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWo
 rking with symbolic objects that carry stories of home\, ritual\, and inhe
 ritance\, participants will reflect on the ways everyday things can hold t
 he memory of family\, place\, and belonging.\n\nLed by artist Sarah Alsama
 rai\, the workshop will invite participants to develop a personal symbol
 —an object or image connected to their own history and experience—and 
 transform it into a painted composition. In Palestinian and diasporic life
 \, objects such as olives\, coffee vessels\, pomegranates\, and olive bran
 ches can carry what is not always easily said: memory\, loss\, continuity\
 , care\, and attachment to homeland. Through guided prompts\, sketching\, 
 and painting exercises\, participants will create a piece that reflects bo
 th personal memory and broader cultural narrative.\n\nNo prior painting ex
 perience is needed. All materials will be provided.\n\n\n
