At the same time\, over $ 100 Billion is spent in foreign aid that directly or indirectly supports v iolent conflicts in places like Palestine\, Sudan\, and Yemen. However\, o ur nation is investing only $300 million on Upward Bounds\, the nation’s signature after-school and summer program for educating and keeping youth across the country engaged and safe.\n\nWe want to call on federal and lo cal leaders to redirect spending overseas that's leading to violence and r einvest it at home to end violence. Specifically\, we hope to raise awaren ess and funds to support an innovative afterschool and summer program deve loped by our charitable organization partner\, STEM4US!\, to keep 100 boys in Washington\, DC safe from violence and excite them about cyber\, const ruction\, agriculture and other STEM related careers.
