DESCRIPTION:AURORA\, CA\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPoets for Palestine fundraises for di
 fferent causes and promotes art and expression as activism through our eve
 nts. At our open mic nights\, we welcome sharing of any medium including b
 ut not limited to poetry\, prose\, song\, and storytelling. They are free 
 to attend\, but we sell items at each event to fundraise for mutual aid\, 
 and there is an option to make a donation through Eventbrite as well. Cost
  should not be a barrier to be in community\, but if you have the means to
  donate\, it is always appreciated! Sign ups begin at the scheduled time o
 f our open mic\, and sharing will start approximately 30 minutes later. We
  encourage our attendees to support the businesses that host us\, so pleas
 e buy food/drink from them and suggest them to your friends!\n\nWe also pr
 ioritize accessibility for our events\, so masks are provided and required
  for attendees. Accessibility guides for each venue are available on our I
 nstagram\, or you can read out to us at poetsforfalasteen@gmail.com with a
 ny specific questions or accomodation requests.\n\nWe aim to cultivate a s
 afe community space for everyone\, so bigotry of any form will be addresse
 d and corrected. Everyone is imperfect\, so mistakes are inevitable\, but 
 our community space fosters learning and growth.
