SUMMARY:Poets for Palestine Open Mic
DESCRIPTION:\n\nAn open mic night creating space for grief\, love\, anguish
 \, and loss in ALL liberation movements.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPoets for Pa
 lestine fundraises for different causes and promotes art and expression as
  activism through our events. At our open mic nights\, we welcome sharing 
 of any medium including but not limited to poetry\, prose\, song\, and sto
 rytelling. They are free to attend\, but we sell items at each event to fu
 ndraise for mutual aid\, and there is an option to make a donation through
  Eventbrite as well. Cost should not be a barrier to be in community\, but
  if you have the means to donate\, it is always appreciated! Sign ups begi
 n at the scheduled time of our open mic\, and sharing will start approxima
 tely 30 minutes later. We encourage our attendees to support the businesse
 s that host us\, so please buy food/drink from them and suggest them to yo
 ur friends!\n\nWe also prioritize accessibility for our events\, so masks 
 are provided and required for attendees. Accessibility guides for each ven

 alasteen@gmail.com with any specific questions or accomodation requests.\n
 \nWe aim to cultivate a safe community space for everyone\, so bigotry of 
 any form will be addressed and corrected. Everyone is imperfect\, so mista
 kes are inevitable\, but our community space fosters learning and growth.\
