DESCRIPTION:NEW YORK\, NY\n\nJoin us for the premiere of Severed\, a new fi
 lm about Gaza.\n\nSevered tells the story of Mohamad Saleh\, an 18-year-ol
 d from Gaza who has lived through five major assaults on the Gaza Strip. I
 n those attacks\, he lost his home\, family members\, his best friends\, a
 nd\, at the age of 12\, his leg. Now living in exile in Egypt\, Mohamad st
 ruggles to piece together the shattered fragments of his life. Through his
  eyes\, the pain and trauma endured by thousands in Gaza are laid bare\, a
 longside their remarkable strength\, resilience\, and determination to liv
 e.\n\nSevered is produced by Donkeysaddle Projects\, +972 Magazine and The
  Nation\, in partnership with Just Vision.\n\nPanel discussion with the fi
 lmmakers will follow\, including the film's protagonist\, Mohamad Saleh\, 
 film director\, Jen Marlowe\, and Donkeysaddle Projects Palestine Grassroo
 ts Distribution Project Director and journalist from Gaza\, Fadi Abushamma
 lah.\n\nMasks are required for this event\, and will be provided for those
  who do not have their own.\n\nTickets are free\, though donations are wel
 come. Proceeds will support Donkeysaddle’s Palestine Grassroots Distribu
 tion Project (PGDP).\n\nPGDP is a small\, grassroots humanitarian effort t
 hat began in 2011\, responding to urgent needs among families in Gaza conn
 ected to Donkeysaddle Project’s on-the-ground documentation work.
