Inspired by actual events, critically acclaimed one-woman show RAG HEAD returns to The Complex Hollywood

On August 5, 2012 a white supremacist entered a Gurdwara in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and murdered six members. There has been an alarming increase in hate crimes committed against Sikhs, Muslims and several other faith-based communities. With their turbans and long beards, Sikhs are often labeled as terrorists and have become targets in the U.S. There are roughly 500,000 American Sikhs; many of which have been subject to xenophobic harassment or violence while over 70% of Americans do not know who Sikhs are or what their faith entails.

Written, performed and directed by celebrated actress & activist Sundeep Morrison, RAG HEAD explores hate, hope and American identity.
