DESCRIPTION:WASHINGTON\, DC\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Abdul-Ghaffar Musa\, born in the
  village of Abasseyeh in 1939\, experienced the Nakba firsthand as an eigh
 t-year-old in 1948. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba on Ma
 y 18th\, The Jerusalem Fund and Palestine Center will host a conversation 
 featuring Dr. Musa and his daughter\, human rights attorney Jumana Musa. T
 hey will discuss Dr. Musa's experience witnessing the Nakba\, the expulsio
 n of his family from Abbasiya\, and his enduring desire to return after de
 cades of dispossession and exile.\n\nAbout Dr. Musa\n\nDr. Abdul-Ghaffar M
 usa was born in Abasseyeh\, Palestine in 1939. Along with his family he fl
 ed his village under gunfire during Al-Nakba in 1948 and was raised in Al-
 Nuwaimeh camp. He received an UNRWA scholarship to the American University
  of Beirut and completed his University and Medical training there. He the
 n worked at the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) for five years befor
 e moving to the United States where he completed his training as a GYN Onc
 ologist. He treated cancer patients for 37 years in Syracuse\, New York wh
 ere he was also Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Ho
 spital.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nHe now lives in Great Falls\, VA with his beautiful 
 wife\, Sultana Musa\, and enjoys spending time with his three children and
