Center For Ethics And Leadership
The Center for Ethics and Leadership invites the St. Edward’s and Austin communities to gather over refreshments to discuss this thought-provoking topic of our modern times:
Being situated at the center of the secular-Islamist conflict in the new order of the Arab states, women are now facing the enormous challenge of inclusive, under representation, in-representation, and deprivation of rights. However diverse their geographies and societies might have been, women’s participation in the Arab Spring has elevated their ability to influence the decision-making process and developed their agency to respond to existing and new challenges. Using their social structure and new social networks tools, they have transformed their ability to make their voices heard, claiming their presence in the public and political spaces, and are now refusing to go back to silence.
