DESCRIPTION:Kalamazoo\, Michigan.\nJoin us for a recitation of John Milton'
 s closet drama Samson Agonistes\, a retelling of the tragedy of Samson and
  Dalila. Composed in the mid-1600s\, the piece presents the story of one o
 f mythology's first superheroes in tragic verse\, beginning with a blind S
 amson stumbling out onto the stage and culminating in an explosion of righ
 teous violence. Set long ago in the Gaza Strip\, Samson Agonistes is a med
 itation on sacrifice\, power\, and self-destruction\, an explosion of rage

 owing to discuss the material. This event is a fundraiser for Palestinian 
 aid\, with all profits being donated to the Palestinian Social Fund\, an o
 rganization dedicated to grassroots support of cooperative farms in Palest
 ine.\n\nThe performance will be held at 6:00 pm at the First Congregationa
 l Church on W. Michigan Ave. in Kalamazoo\, Michigan.
