 n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Mohamed Moawad\nMoawad is an Arab American award-winnin
 g journalist. He is the 2012 U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) jo
 urnalist of the year\, also he was awarded three times at New York Journal
 ism Festivals and short listed for London AIB (Association for Internation
 al Broadcasting) Broadcaster of the year award. Moawad has been dealing wi
 th Middle East conflicts first hand. While the past years were overwhelmed
  by violent and non-violent social conflicts which have shaped the present
  and the future of several societies in North Africa and the Middle East.\
 n\nAs a broadcast journalist at Middle East broadcasting networks (MBN) of
  BBG\, Moawad was working in the midst of the turmoil reporting the voices
  and the aspirations of those who triggered it as well as the reactions of
  politicians and military leaders who tried to sustain the status quo. His
  reporting trips took him to Juba to report the breakaway of South Sudan f
 rom Sudan\, and Libya at height of armed confrontations between the rebels
  and Qaddafi forces. Moawad almost camped in Tahrir square\, Cairo during 
 the decisive eighteen-day Egyptian Revolution in January and February 2011
 . Moawad witnessed real conflicts unravel. Moawad is currently a scholar a
 t George Mason University\, School for conflict analysis and resolution. H
 e is conducting his researches on peace-building journalism\, how the medi
 a act in times of conflict. Currently Moawad is the managing editor of Alj
 azeera news channel based in Doha\, Qatar.\n\n\n\n\n
