Join other tatreez artists for an afternoon of stitching and honoring the art of Palestinian embroidery.
You’re invited to the first (of what we hope to be many) San Francisco Bay Area Tatreez Circle hosted at Refugee Eye.
What is a tatreez circle? A tatreez circle is a gather of tatreez artists who gather to stitch together while sharing stories and learning from each other. All levels of experience are welcome but this is not meant to be a workshop. Bring your own projects!
What if I want to learn tatreez? We’re thrilled you want to learn the beautiful art of tatreez. This event is not meant to be a workshop but if you would be interested in learning please reach out at sfbaytatreez@gmail.com.
Who is organizing? We, Amanne Sharif and Asma Ayyad, are two local Palestinian tatreez artists who met on social media through our shared love of tatreez. We’re partnering with Refugee Eye Gallery, a Palestinian-owned non-profit art gallery, to co-host the SF Bay Area Tatreez Circle.
