DESCRIPTION:New England Conservatory of Music\n\n30 Gainsborough St\nBoston
 \, MA 02115\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne-day conference followed by a concert 
 exploring sound and music in Muslim contexts. In person and virtual attend
 ance.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe conference will examine four key aspects : Signific
 ance of sound in Muslim contexts\, Oral Tradition and Memorization\, Music
  Education in Muslim Communities and Understanding Islam through its Art. 
 The conference concludes with an evening concert featuring three ensembles
  performing musical traditions from across the Muslim world.\n\nOur speake
