  Israeli citizen who recently moved to Bristol from Nazareth\, where she c
 o-founded and managed the Liwan Café.\n\n‘As a Palestinian woman\,’ 
 she says\, ‘I have always belonged to too many marginalised groups: a wo
 man\, a Palestinian\, a Christian in a Jewish state. I have often felt tha
 t I am standing alone\, always aware that our leaders could not be relied 
 on to care for us. Instead\, we have to do it.’\n\nShe now works with A
 mos Trust ‘to amplify the voice of Palestinian women\, making sure the 
 Palestinian national struggle does not suffocate the Palestinian women’s
  struggle’.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSabrin Hasbun is an Italian-Palestin
 ian writer\, translator and academic. She obtained her PhD in creative wri
 ting and history at Bath Spa and Exeter Universities and currently lecture
 s on creative writing at Cardiff Metropolitan University\, specialising in
