It will be held on the Cathedral grounds at 3754 Woodley Road. O n Friday\, August 15th the Middle Eastern festival gate will open at 5:00 PM. It will continue on Saturday\, August 16th at 4:00 PM\, and close on S unday\, August 17th from noon until 5:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 per person \, children 10 and under are free.\n\nThis year’s festival will feature the local bands of Madison Avenue on Friday night\, and My 80’s Vice on Saturday evening. On Sunday we will be entertained by After Shock featurin g our own Nate Khoury and Dave Hairabedian. And of course\, Middle Eastern music\, and dancing will entertain the crowd throughout the weekend.\n\nM iddle Eastern and American food will be available for purchase. Favorites will include sfeeha (meat pies)\, green beans and rice\, baked kibbe (a me at and wheat mixture)\, grape leaf rolls\, and the Middle Eastern pastries that everyone craves. In the Fast Food area Middle Eastern and American s andwiches\, French fries\, and the ever-popular Zalabee (elephant ears) ar e among the smells filling the air. Adult beverages and soft drinks will q uench all thirsty desires.\n\nA children’s area will include kiddie carn ival games\, crafts\, and bouncy houses. Sand art and face painting will a lso be among the activities to keep the children busy.\n\nSelf-guided chur ch tours will run throughout the festival hours. Our beloved priest\, Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Shaheen\, will be available for any questions that may arise. Church memorabilia and novelties will be available for sa le.\n\nMany more family-friendly surprises will be offered for a fun-fille d weekend at St. George Cathedral on Woodley Road.
