 \, Virginia for an unforgettable evening as Emgage marks 20 years of build
 ing Muslim American civic power and celebrating beloved community leaders.
 \nOur event features Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans and Imam Johari\, who show wh
 at deep-rooted civic engagement looks like. We are also delighted to showc
 ase accomplished young leaders and rising stars Rana Abdelhamid\, Zaynab M
 ohamed\, Osman Salahuddin\, and Munira Abdullahi.\nTwenty years ago\, we s
 et out to mobilize Muslim Americans so that our community would have a sea
 t at the table. Today\, the results speak for themselves.\n• In New York
 \, we worked with Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim January 2026 the first
 -ever Muslim American Heritage Month in New York State and moderated a bri
 efing at City Hall on Islamophobia.\n• In Michigan\, we supported polici
 es to require colleges and universities to provide alternative exam dates 
 or academic accommodations when coursework conflicted with a student’s s
 incerely held religious beliefs.\n• In Florida\, we succeeded in releasi
 ng teenager Mohammed Ibrahim\, who was arbitrarily imprisoned by the Israe
 li military for over 9 months.\nYour support made all of this possible.\nT
 his evening is our chance to come together\, honor what we have built\, an
