  Sudan is facing one of the world’s most devastating and under-reported 
 humanitarian crises. In response\, members of the local Sudanese American 
 community\, in collaboration with the Monterey Peace and Justice Center\, 
 will host “Sudan: Stand Together for Peace and Humanitarian Relief” on
  Saturday\, June 28\, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Marina Public Library.\n
 \nThis free\, community-led event aims to raise awareness of the war’s t
 oll on millions of Sudanese civilians and to support urgently needed relie
 f efforts. Proceeds will benefit the Sudan Platform for Agriculture and Fo
 od Security (SPFAFS)\, a grassroots organization working directly with dis
 placed families and women-led initiatives on the ground.\n\nProgram highli
 ghts include:\n\n 	Traditional Sudanese refreshments\n 	Cultural music and
  artwork\n 	Personal stories from those impacted by the conflict\n 	Opport
 unities for attendees to support humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts\n\
 nThis event is about breaking the silence. It’s a space to listen\, lear
 n\, and honor the resilience of the Sudanese people by mobilizing compassi
 on into action.\n\nSponsored by the Monterey Peace and Justice Center in c
 ollaboration with the Monterey County Sudan Solidarity group\, Sudan Platf
 orm For Agriculture and Food Security (SPFAFS)\, Monterey Palestine Solida
 rity\, and the Peace Coalition of Monterey County.\n\n
