 lestine\n\nJoin Palestinian chefs Reem Assil\, Marcelle Afram and Omar Ana
 ni in Detroit for a curated dinner and gathering of community members\, ac
 tivists\, and folks in the food and hospitality sector to ground ourselves
  in the importance of sumoud (Arabic for steadfastness). We'll be sharing 
 stories\, experiences\, and strategies for how we can build a lasting and 
 deeper movement both for the liberation for Palestine and for the liberati
 on of all who have suffered from the violence of the U.S.-Israel war machi
 ne.\n\nWhile we collectively grieve the 35\,000+ Palestinians lives lost\,
  we must gather in our collective spirit with food\, culture\, and love fo
 r humanity in order to build our collective power. Our radical joy in thes
 e connections will strengthen our fight for justice for the long-haul.\n\n
 We look forward to a powerful evening of delicious Palestinian food and tr
 ansformative conversation!\n\nThis is a community-organized event and all 
 our time is donated. Tickets are sliding scale and all proceeds after cost
  of food and materials will go to a campaign initiated by Gaza Kitchen aut
 hor Laila El-Haddad to support farmers and communities hit hardest by the 
 genocide to build towards self sufficiency and away from aid dependency.\n
