Surrey Arts and Humanities Research Group Seminar (August)
Date(s) - 08/18/2020
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Researcher Development Programme - University Of Surrey Doctoral College
The SAHRG seminar series promotes exciting and supportive exchange between researchers across disciplines. Each season has a theme, and we invite speakers from different subjects to highlight its role in their current research. This season is ‘Spaces’, interpreted as, for example, physical, digital or personal space, outer space, gaps and omissions, social freedoms and control.
The August seminar features presentations on prison writing (Eleanor March), the role of public spaces in Egypt’s post-Arab Spring literature (Wafik Doss), advances in natural language processing (Gustavo Zomer), and feminist legal critiques (Olga Franczak).
Each seminar features short papers followed by discussion. We welcome everyone to join the conversation, and promote collaborations across disciplines.
More information about SAHRG events, our blog, and previous seminars can be found on our website.
