DESCRIPTION:New York\, NY – The Syrian Music Preservation Initiative (SMP
 I) is delighted to announce the\neagerly anticipated Syrian Chamber Music 
 Series\, a two-concert event celebrating the rich\ntapestry of Syrian musi
 cal heritage. Presented by the Syrian Music Preservation Initiative\, thes
 e\nintimate evenings of acoustic Syrian chamber music will take place on A
 pril 13\, 8:00 PM at City\nLore (56 E 1st St\, New York\, NY 10003) and on
  April 27\, 8:00 PM at Hungarian House (213 E\n82nd St\, New York\, NY 100
 28).\nLed by Artistic Director\, Samer Ali\, alongside an ensemble of tale
 nted musicians including\nmaestro Mohammad Qadri Dalal (oud)\, Marissa Ali
  (bass)\, Marwa Morgan (voice)\, Gideon\nForbes (nay)\, and Nezih Antakli 
 (riq)\, these concerts promise to transport audiences to the heart\nof Syr
 ian musical tradition. The takht (Arab chamber ensemble) will showcase sel
 ections from\nthe Syrian and Arab repertoire\, offering a rare glimpse int
 o the authentic sounds of this genre as\nthey were originally performed - 
 in a home-like setting with audience interaction. To reinforce the\nintima
 cy of the event\, the group will remove the barrier of the stage and surro
