Part of a 7 part series. This is the third talk.

Lydia Yousief, a master’s graduate of the University of Chicago’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies and a local to Nashville, will offer a lecture series on the history of modern Egypt, focusing on colonial effects. Her master’s thesis was on the Coptic Orthodox Church’s relationship with Palestine, and her concentration is in modern Egyptian history focused on marginalized identities and their experiences.

This is a history of Egypt, a beginning.
