 e join Napa for Peace in Palestine for "The Path Forward" being held at 
 the Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living on Friday evening\, July 17 fr
 om 7-9PM. It is a new documentary that weaves together the voices of Pales
 tinians and Israelis in their efforts for peace and reconciliation. This 3
 7 minute film will be followed by a facilitated discussion centered on aud
 ience reflections on the message of peace from activists in the film and o
 n how/whether these messages and tactics can be applied to local Napa effo
 rts that aim to start discussions about the status of Palestinians and Isr
 aelis.\n\nA suggested $15 donation is appreciated to cover program costs. 
 However\, please note that cost is not a barrier — no one will be turned

  the film feature?\nThe short film features the stories of Israeli and Pal
 estinian peace activists who have worked together before and after October
  2023. One of the activists featured\, Abu Sarah\, states that\, "People w
 ho believe that war is the only way\, what scares them the most is people 
 who are modeling a different future. Our route to freedom is a joint route
 . So I do have hope\, and my hope is not in leaders or politicians who cla
 im to be leaders. My hope is about the people who are like us\, my colleag
 ues\, Israelis and Palestinians\, who are refusing to fall into "If I'm Pa
 lestinian\, I must hate all Israelis or Jews\," or "If I'm Israeli\, I mus
 t hate all Palestinians\," and realizing that we are on the same side\, th
 ose of us who believe in equality and justice and peace. And those who don
 't yet\, our mission is to convince those who don't yet to join us and rea
 lize that bombing somebody else\, killing a civilian\, killing a human bei
 ng\, is never going to be the way to bring you safety and security\, and t
 hat our route to freedom is a joint route."\n\n
