They built it using traditional materials and techniques. Once completed\, Jinwar welcomed wo men refugees from male violence. By participating in the common life\, bas ed on agriculture and handicrafts\, women villagers forge new identities a nd build better lives for themselves. At the same time they create a new w orld.\n\nVOICES OF RESISTANCE AND HERITAGE: Stories of Kurdish Women and Culture is curated by Xeyak Qertel and is co-presented by ArteEast an d The Clemente Center.
