“The Sun Ladies,” by director Christian Stephen, details the lives of female Kurdish fights against ISIS. The film is one of virtual reality and was selected for Sundance Film Festival, Cannes International Film Festival, and South by Southwest.
At age 16, Stephen began studying and documenting issues in the Middle East. In 2016, he was the youngest nominee ever for the “Living Award for International Reporting.”
There will be a discussion after the screening, and audience members can participate in virtual reality on set.
