SUMMARY:Where Does the Palestinian National Movement Go from Here?
DESCRIPTION:Six months into Israel’s war on Gaza\, more than 33\,000 Pale
 stinians have been killed\, including 14\,500 children\, 2 million have be
 en displaced and at least 75\,000 injured\, while over 1 million are facin
 g catastrophic food insecurity. Meanwhile\, Israel\, the United States\, a
 nd other countries have been discussing the “day after” in Gaza and co
 nsidering various options\, essentially dictating the future of the Palest
 inians without their input. At the same time\, the current Palestinian pol
 itical landscape remains divided and ineffective\, leaving the Palestinian
  people without representation or leadership.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nArab Center Wa
 shington DC (ACW) is organizing this keynote webinar with prominent and ex
 perienced Palestinian activist leaders and academics to discuss the future
  of Palestine at this critical juncture for the Palestinian people. The di
 scussion will address the current state of the war and the humanitarian cr
 isis in Gaza\, present Palestinian public opinion and what Palestinians wa
 nt\, and explore new approaches to Palestinian leadership and representati
 on. The panelists will provide their expert perspectives on the prospects 
 for the Palestinian national movement in the wake of the war on Gaza\, the
  legitimacy crisis of the Palestinian Authority\, and calls for reforming 
 the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
