About the Webinar
Lebanon’s parliament has given confidence to the government of new Prime Minister Najib Miqati. His administration is charged with the difficult tasks of addressing the country’s deep political and socio-economic problems, negotiating with the International Monetary Fund and other lending institutions about relief packages for Lebanon’s financial sector, and preparing for local, legislative, and presidential elections in 2022, among other responsibilities. Miqati’s government now has the Herculean task of correcting the course of the country to prevent the full collapse of its political, economic, social, and security institutions.
