SUMMARY:Youth Islamic Geometry Workshop
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nDiscover the intricacies of Islamic geometry through this
  hands-on workshop\, in collaboration with the Frist Art Museum.\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\nJoin us for a hands-on workshop exploring the timeless beauty of Islam
 ic geometry\, presented in collaboration with the Frist Art Museum's Anila
  Quayyam Agha's exhibition Interwoven and the Islamic Center of Nashville.
 \n\nThe workshop is led by Dr. Rebin Muhammad\, a mathematician\, educator
 \, and artist originally from the Kurdistan region of Iraq\, and Alexandra
  Veremeychik\, an Islamic geometric artist. Participants will construct ge
 ometric patterns.\n\nNo prior experience in art or mathematics is required
 —just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Participants will leave wi
 th completed patterns and a deeper appreciation of geometry as a creative 
 and cultural language.\n\nThis workshop will be tailored towards youth. Al
 l materials will be provided.\n\n-\n\nThe Reed Society for the Sacred Arts
  (RSSA) works with a global network of artists and musicians to nurture th
 e cultural\, intellectual\, and spiritual wisdom woven into sacred art for
 ms. The Reed Society's work serves not only as a platform for cultural pre
 servation but also as a source of healing and reconnection for diverse pop
 ulations\, particularly diaspora communities\, immigrants\, and refugees s
 eeking to engage with their heritage.\n\nIn collaboration with leading art
 ists and institutions\, our organization curates a rich array of programs 
 — including hands-on workshops\, immersive retreats\, musical performanc
 es\, academic lectures\, and exhibitions. The Reed Society’s work spans 
 disciplines such as Arabic and Ottoman calligraphy\, Islamic illumination 
 (tazhib/tehzib)\, sacred geometry\, and traditional music forms such as Qa
 wwali and Sufi-inspired vocal traditions.\n\nThe Reed Society has partnere
 d with organizations such as the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian 
 Art\, The Walters Art Museum\, The Kennedy Center\, and major universities
  including Harvard\, George Washington University and Stanford.\n\nKeep th
