DESCRIPTION:Nashville\, TN\n\n\n\nDiscover the intricacies of Islamic geome
 try through this hands-on workshop\, in collaboration with the Frist Art M
 useum.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a hands-on workshop exploring the timeless
  beauty of Islamic geometry\, presented in collaboration with the Frist 
 Art Museum's Anila Quayyam Agha's exhibition Interwoven and the Islamic 
 Center of Nashville.\n\nThe workshop is led by Dr. Rebin Muhammad\, a math
 ematician\, educator\, and artist originally from the Kurdistan region of 
 Iraq\, and Alexandra Veremeychik\, an Islamic geometric artist. Participan
 ts will construct geometric patterns.\n\nNo prior experience in art or mat
 hematics is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Partic
 ipants will leave with completed patterns and a deeper appreciation of geo
 metry as a creative and cultural language.\n\nThis workshop will be tailor
 ed towards youth. All materials will be provided.\n\n-\n\nThe Reed Society
  for the Sacred Arts (RSSA) works with a global network of artists and mu
 sicians to nurture the cultural\, intellectual\, and spiritual wisdom wove
 n into sacred art forms. The Reed Society's work serves not only as a plat
 form for cultural preservation but also as a source of healing and reconne
 ction for diverse populations\, particularly diaspora communities\, immigr
 ants\, and refugees seeking to engage with their heritage.\n\nIn collabora
 tion with leading artists and institutions\, our organization curates a ri
 ch array of programs — including hands-on workshops\, immersive retreats
 \, musical performances\, academic lectures\, and exhibitions. The Reed So
 ciety’s work spans disciplines such as Arabic and Ottoman calligraphy\, 
 Islamic illumination (tazhib/tehzib)\, sacred geometry\, and traditional m
 usic forms such as Qawwali and Sufi-inspired vocal traditions.\n\nThe Reed
  Society has partnered with organizations such as the Smithsonian’s Nati
 onal Museum of Asian Art\, The Walters Art Museum\, The Kennedy Center\, a
 nd major universities including Harvard\, George Washington University and
