The Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC) has added three new members to their Board of Directors, Mayor for the City of Wayne, Michigan Abdul “Al” Haidous, Dearborn Chief of Police Ronald Haddad, and Arkan Jonna of A.F. Jonna Development.

“We are proud they joined the ACC team,” said ACC President & CEO Dr. Haifa Fakhouri, “they are strong leaders of the community and will enhance our Board immensely.”

Mayor Haidous was elected to service the City of Wayne in 2001. His previous public service experience is as broad as his business experience. He currently serves as a chair of Wayne’s Downtown Development Authority, and was a steering committee member of the Downtown Wayne Commercial Revitalization Initiative from 1991 to 1992.

Ronald Haddad is a retired Deputy Chief of the Detroit Police Department and a law enforcement professional of over 34 years. Chief Haddad’s distinguished career within the Detroit Police Department is exemplified by the number of positions and titles that he held. He holds a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and also graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command from Northwestern University and earned an extensive list of other educational, specialized training and professional development certificates.

Arkan Jonna has been in the development business for well over thirty years. He develops, owns, and manages many shopping centers and office buildings in the Southeastern Michigan area

ACC welcomes Mayor Haidous, Chief Haddad and Arkan Jonna and looks forward to their active participation in the future of the organization.
