Atallah Hanna) to Address ADC Convention Attendees on June 16

We are delighted to announce that Archbishop Theodosios of Sebastia (Atallah Hanna) will attend this year’s ADC National Convention! Archbishop Theodosios is a distinguished spiritual leader for Palestine. He has received numerous awards for his work to strengthen Arab unity and for being a powerful spokesperson for the Palestinian cause.

The Archbishop will deliver the keynote speech at the Palestine Luncheon on Sunday, June 16th in Washington, DC. He will discuss the importance of Palestinian unity and reconciliation in light of regional and international developments. Archbishop Theodosios will also highlight continued Palestinian efforts, both past and present, to end the Israeli occupation and the struggle for freedom and self determination.

Archbishop Theodosios of Sebastia is from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Consecrated on December 24, 2004 at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, he is the second Palestinian to hold the position of Archbishop in the history of the diocese. Born in 1965 in Rama Village in the Upper Galilee, Archbishop Theodosios studied Greek in Jerusalem, continuing his studies in Greece where he earned his Master of Theology from Thessalonica University in 1991. Returning to Jerusalem, he was ordained as a priest at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre that same year.
