Ron Amen to Receive Community Peacemaker Award

Ronald Amen will be honored by the WSU Center for Peace and Conflict Studies which presents their “Commuity Peacemaker” award to notable individuals and groups who have made a crucial difference in bringing people together.

This year on May 14th, the center will present one of four such awards to Ron Amen in recognition of his community work on behalf of intercultural understanding.

For the first time the Center is teaming up with the Cranbrook Peace Foundation’s legacy to present their annual peace lecture and to award the Cranbrook Peace Prize to the noted international development economist (and Detroiter) Jeffrey Sachs who speaks at 3:00pm.

At 5:30pm the awards presentation will commence. There is no charge for the lecture and attendance is optional.
