Millions of people have had to migrate from Syria since 2011. It was a country that people had to migrate from because of wars and other reasons in the past. So we collected 12 celebrities that you’ll be surprised to know that they were Syrians.

The beautiful 42 year-old actress’s dad is from Syria.
2. Co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple: Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs, who died in October 5, 2011, has a Syrian immigrant father named Abdulfattah John Jandali.
3. American singer-songwriter Paula Abdul
The famous 54-year-old singer and choreographer’s father is a Syrian immigrant.
4. Susan from Desperate Housewives, Teri Hatcher
The 51 year-old actress’s mom is a Syrian.
5. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld
The 64 year old comedian’s grandfather Selim Hosni immigrated from Halep to the USA.
