ADC Michigan to Honor Judge Nancy G. Edmunds and Judge Denise Langford Morris at the 11th Annual Judges Night Reception
On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) Michigan Advisory Board will host its 11th Annual Judges Night Reception at the Byblos Banquet Center in Dearborn. ADC Michigan is delighted to announce that Debbie Almontaser from the Khalil Gibran International Academy in New York will serve as Guest Speaker at the event.
The purpose of ADC’s Annual Judges Night reception (Guardians of Justice Awards Ceremony) is to recognize and honor local judges whose work in upholding Civil Rights has been exemplary.
ADC Michigan is pleased to announce that the recipients of this year’s Guardian of Justice Award are: The Honorable Nancy G. Edmunds, Eastern District of Michigan, and The Honorable Denise Langford Morris, Oakland County Circuit Court. These Judges are being recognized for their commitment to justice and civil rights within their courtrooms. ADC is pleased to honor such distinguished members of the bench.
ADC Michigan is pleased to announce that the Advocate of the Year Award is being presented to Attorney Mariam Saad-Bazzi, Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor and President of the Arab American Political Action Committee (AAPAC). The award seeks to recognize and honor an attorney who is not only an outstanding member of the Michigan Bar, but whose activism has made a significant impact in the community.
