Ajyal Theatrical Group Presents Their Newest Comedy, "Shoufou Alwawa Wayn" in Detroit and Windsor-Featuring Im Hussein
The Ajyal Theatrical Group, under the direction of its founder, Najee Mondalek announced two dates in the Detroit area for the smash hit comedy, “Shoufou Alwawa Wayn.” The comedy will be in Dearborn at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 16, 2010 and in Windsor, Ontario on Saturday, October 23 at the Chrysler Theatre.
In addition to Dearborn and Windsor, the national tour of “Shoufou Alwawa Wayn” willtravel to 12 other cities including, in Australia, Sydney, in Canada, Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Ottawa, and in the U.S.A., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, Houston, Chicago, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
The play is written by Mondalek and directed by Ray Alcodray.
The play centers on the global economic meltdown which has come home to roost in the living room of Im Hussein and her loving neighbor and best friend Im-Elias. What’s a few loans between friends–everything when over extension on credit leads to her house being foreclosed and bankruptcy all but certain. Finally divorce, life insurance, and kidnapping–all this and more in the latest comedy rage to hit the stage from the playwright Najee Mondalek.
“Shoufou Alwawa Wayn” (“Where Does IT Hurt” ) is a hilarious exploration of what happens when Im-Hussein’s less than astute son Hussein attempts to single handedly remedy the family business woes by putting a series of convoluted money making schemes into action that make the global financial crisis look like child’s play.
