Amal Clooney: George Clooney’s First Date with his Now-Wife almost NEVER Happened
AMAL CLOONEY and husband George Clooney are certainly relationship goals after the human rights lawyer wooed the notorious Hollywood bachelor, but it was recently claimed the couple’s first date never nearly happened.

Amal Clooney, 40, and George Clooney, 57, tied the knot in a star-studded wedding in 2014 and welcomed their twins, daughter Ella and son Alexander last year.
However, their initial date nearly didn’t take place, according to reports, as the lawyer was not sure if she could make it in time.
According to Buzzfeed, the actor had planned a romantic first date which wasn’t just the usual dinner at a nice restaurant.
Instead, it is reported George invited Amal to a recording session at the infamous Abbey Road where the legendary Beatles recorded some of their biggest hits.
The issue was not so much the venue but the fact George would need to fit into her hectic schedule.
The publication reported the high-profile star spoke to him and said she may be late as she was taking legal action against the Muslim Brotherhood the same day and she was not sure when it would wrap up.
Fortunately for George, the brunette beauty was able to make it to their first get together.
The Hollywood actor surprised her with an 150-piece orchestra at the recording session before they headed to a restaurant for dinner.
George told The Hollywood Reporter, Amal was not phased at all by the paparazzi which formed outside the restaurant.
He said: “She said: ‘Let’s go to this place’.”
“It was one of those places that was incredibly hip and chic. And when we came out, there were 50 paparazzi there. But she handled it like a champ.”
The handsome actor recently made headlines when he referred to himself as “Amal Clooney’s husband” as he delivered an emotional speech to a star-studded crowd in Beverley Hills.
Taking to the stage at the Variety’s Power of Women event, he introduced himself as the lawyer’s spouse.
According to the MailOnline, the 57-year–old started: “Hi I’m George, I’m Amal Clooney’s husband.”
His introduction is believed to have been met with laughter as he continued: “Oh I know, I know, I can read this room.”
Amal did not attend the event as she attended The Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia to deliver a speech on women’s rights.
According to Access, Amal commented on the #MeToo movement and said women should be able to come forward to speak openly about harassment.
The golden couple were noticeably absent from the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank earlier this month.
Although they were rumoured to be on the guest list, George and Amal were nowhere to be seen.
The glamorous pair were in attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding earlier this year.
