Arab American 12-year-old Chef To Be Honored by Michelle Obama
Kinnan Dowie, 12, lives the life of most average boys his age.
Active and well rounded, he loves sports, especially soccer; he is on a swim team; plays the piano; and enjoys acting. He is proud of his Australian and Syrian roots, and has also taken up studying Arabic.
But there is something significantly striking that sets him apart from most of his peers.
He has been cooking since he was 5-years-old, and most recently, was named a national winning young chef to be honored at the White House by the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.
