posted on: Dec 26, 2011

In its inaugural event, Arab American Beauties 2012 Calendar, will introduce twelve beautiful women that grace its pages, at a holiday party held on Tuesday, December 27 at 7 pm, at Byblos Banquet Hall, in Dearborn.

The names and identities of the women selected for the calendar have been kept a secret, and interest has been mounting in anticipation of the release. The release marks the beginning of a yearly tradition and the Holiday event will serve as an exciting introduction to our participants as well as the opportunity for friends to gather and celebrate the holiday season.

“I will only reveal that the twelve beautiful ladies that grace the pages of our calendar are of Arab decent from the lands of Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen, and vary in age groups with diverse religious and cultural backgrounds” stated Nafeh AbuNab, publisher of the Calendar.

“They’re educated, ambitious, talented, accomplished and very well liked and respected in the community. They’re humble divas and princesses, and depict the ideals and values that come from their rich heritage… they’re simply beautiful!” added Abunab.

“The ladies were photographed in various locations in Dearborn and Detroit over a one month period, and given the busy schedules of our wonderful participants, it was quite challenging to coordinate hair, makeup and creative juices, but it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career” stated Natalie June, the Calendars creative director.

Given the Arab Spring movement, that is spreading worldwide, people are rediscovering the beauty of our heritage, and beauty is a universal language that everyone embraces and understands This was the inspiration to create such a calendar and to share this universal message of beauty and peace that truly depicts the common ground shared by all” States AbuNab, calendar publisher and successful photographer.

The Arab American Beauties 2012 Calendar release and holiday party, will introduce the ladies to the media and community, and showcase their talents as well as the contributions they have made as individuals and as members of the community at large. We will also thank and honor the business establishments, and friends who have made this calendar possible through their support and sponsorships.

The calendar unveiling and holiday party is by invitation only, however will be followed by an open to the public party at La Casa De la Habana, Cigar and Martini Bar in downtown Detroit. The stars of the Arab American Beauties 2012 Calendar will be available for autographs, interviews and photographs.
