Arab Center Washington DC (ACW) is a non-partisan, non-profit research organization located in Washington, District of Columbia dedicated to providing insight on US foreign policy in the Middle East, as well as furthering economic, political, and social understanding of the Arab World in the United States.

ACW relies on contributions from supporters, non-profits, foundations and corporations to provide an objective view from experts in Arab affairs. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, contributions to ACW are deductible under Section 170 of the International Revenue Code.
Mission
Our mission is to serve as an authoritative research and policy analysis center on the Arab World; conducting timely, independent and objective research on fundamental aspects of US – Arab relations.
Objective
ACW aspires to advance knowledge in the United States of the Arab World and American interests and policies in the region through educational exchange, academic research and policy analysis. We aim to become a key convener on topics that are both timely and salient to multiple stakeholders in the US and the Arab World. We seek to drive conversations, whenever possible, toward developing actionable ideas and strategies, and to spread deeper political, cultural, economic and social understanding of the Middle East.

ACW’s focus includes the following:

US policies in a changing Arab World

Cultural, historical, political and social dimensions of US foreign policy

Economic and trade relations with Arab countries

Perspectives on democracy, human rights and justice in the Arab World

US – Arab security and strategic partnerships

Regional conflicts and peacemaking in the Middle East

The role of the US Congress in Middle East foreign policy

Affiliation
ACW is affiliated with the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) headquartered in Doha, Qatar. ACRPS is one of the premier independent research institutes in the Arab world with particular interest in the social sciences, regional history, and geostrategic affairs. Its research, publications, projects, and events focus on issues and challenge relevant to the Arab World.
