“The clothes will be introduced by twenty-five stunning models from the U.S. who will bring movement and life to the beautifully created one-of-kind creations,” Loubna Ennadir, president and founder of Caftan du Maroc USA, said. “Each of the talented artists, responsible for the creations, have received international acclaim for their clothing line over the years, which they introduced on the same red carpet with Christian Dior and Yves St. Laurent.”

The evening will begin with a private reception for VIPs and the media in which select guests will have their gastronomic senses sharpened with the flavorsome tastes of hand-prepared foods, created exclusively for the occasion in Morocco. These delicate handcrafted marzipan and almond sweets will be served during a traditional tea-making ceremony in a private reception room that has been transformed into a North African setting with Moroccan décor and furniture.

“The evening activities are planned to provide guests with an imaginary getaway to faraway shores,” Ms. Ennadir continued, “to a world of beautiful clothes, memorable food, and romantic sounds and entertainment.”

The reception will be followed by a three-course dinner (a fusion of international foods) prepared by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel chef. While the guests dine, they will enjoy award-winning music of Moroccan singer, Karima Skalli who will take them on a musical tour of Morocco, while eight sultry dancers do magic with their hips and veils. The evening will conclude with a fashion show that will be sprinkled with some unforgettable Moroccan entertainment.

Some of the prominent guests to attend include diplomats, political and civic leaders. The six noted designers showcasing their original designs are: Meriam Belkhayat, Amal Belcaid, Safaa Ibrahimi, Kacem Sahel, Myriam Bouafi, and Amal EL Behri.

Caftan du Maroc USA was founded by Loubna Ennadir to introduce America through gala events to the unique beauty and style of the Moroccan culture. Her shows are both traditional and contemporary, a beautiful blend of the two featuring one-of-a-kind creations. Like Ennadir, her team, which works closely with her, has a deep enthusiasm for all things Moroccan, and together they bring to each event a verve and energy that makes each event quite beautiful and special. The designers chosen for her galas have all gained regional and international recognition for their fashions and have been carefully selected as outstanding examples of the best in the industry. Many got their start in their family’s business, where they learned the trade by hand sewing original garments exclusively for their customers. www.caftandumarocusa.com
